Weekly Friday night paid workshops, designed to loosen up your mark‑making and spark creativity.

Evening Sessions.

Open to everyone, whether you’re curious to try something new, returning to drawing after a break, or a regular practitioner.

Bring curiosity and an open mind; there’s no pressure, just gentle encouragement. These sessions are all about learning new processes and enjoying creativity, rather than worrying about the finished result.

Hosted at the bar at the Melville Arts Centre, grab a drink, enjoy friendly vibes and a great playlist inspired by that evening’s topic, (See the Cereal Sketcher’s Spotify page for previous playlists!)

Why Come:

This is a no pressure, affordable way to keep up a regular drawing practice.

Sessions are designed to help loosen up your line, build confidence and expand your skills in a supportive setting.

Short, gentle timed drawing exercises to kickstart creativity and reduce overthinking.

Be part of a community of relaxed and supportive sketchers to enjoy making things with.

Practical Details:

Bring your own drawing materials and sketchbook or paper. We will often inform you prior to the session if you need to bring anything extra (for example, an object for the group to draw).

We often host film nights or life drawing sessions in these evening sessions. These will usually be advertised in advance.

You can book a whole term for a discount, or attend individual sessions. Booking is essential as there are only limited spaces available.

Hosted by Emma Miles - this is a structured session designed so you can practice your observational drawing skills, in your own style.
